Chris started his career with British Airways and qualified in Aeronautical Engineering.
In the early 1980's he fulfilled several challenging international roles with Smiths Aerospace, providing technical consultancy and training with governments and airlines throughout the UK, Middle East and Scandinavia.
This experience led to, providing avionics weapon aiming technical support on Royal Navy Sea Harrier, Royal Airforce Jaguar, Tornado and Hawk aircraft.
Building on his International technical experience in the defence sector, Chris further developed his personal and cultural skills during twenty years in increasingly senior management roles on behalf of International market-leading defence and aerospace firms, including Racal, Philips, Plessey and GEC Marconi.
In 1993 Chris was recruited by Pyser [SGI] Optical to establish their defence division and over the following years grew its international footprint by securing contracts in the Middle East and Indonesia. In 1995 he played a significant role in driving the MBO of the business from its shareholders.
Having gained a robust international background, Chris further enhanced his capabilities in commercial and general management with the UK Schunk Group of companies, becoming Managing Director in 1996 and Group Managing Director in 1998.
Whilst with the Schunk organisation, Chris instigated and successfully completed two acquisitions. The first was an owner-run business, the second a division of a plc. Once these businesses had been acquired, business processes were reengineered, sites and personnel were rationalised, and a standard common technology platform adopted. These strategies led to this business becoming a market leader within its sector.
In 2003 Chris established an Executive Search business. During the last 14 years has built an enviable client-list which spans the UK, mainland Europe and the USA, handing assignments, business consulting and mentoring on a global basis.
Testimonials and repeat consultancy assignments endorse the success of his relationships, across the defence, security and technology sectors
